By Car

Burra is an easy drive from Adelaide, taking approximately two hours.

By Plane

For those fortunate people who have a Private Pilot's Licence and would like a fun overnight trip, there is an airfield south west of Burra, at Farrell Flat (YFFT), only twenty minutes away. 

Birch Cottage is less than an hour's flight from Adelaide and I will be happy to come and collect you from the airfield when you arrive.

Start at KING WILLIAM STREET, ADELAIDE

Continue along O'CONNELL STREET, NORTH ADELAIDE

Turn right into MAIN NORTH ROAD, NORTH ADELAIDE

Take GAWLER BYPASS

Pass second overpass bridge and veer left, turning at  BURRA TURN OFF sign

Turn right at BARRIER HIGHWAY, GILES CORNER

After entering the township of BURRA

Turn right into THAMES STREET at the BP Service Station

Finish 10 THAMES STREET, BURRA

From City Centre Adelaide Airport:

Start at SIR RICHARD WILLIAMS AVENUE, ADELAIDE AIRPORT

On exiting the Adelaide Airport, turn right onto SIR DONALD BRADMAN DRIVE

Continue until reaching VICTORIA SQUARE

Turn left from GROTE STREET into KING WILLIAM STREET
